When families travel, peace of mind becomes especially important.

This guide helps you understand how childcare with Mega Little Palms works so you can feel relaxed and confident before your booking.

Before Your Booking

Families can request childcare by completing the booking form with their preferred dates, location, and a few details about their child.

Once availability is confirmed, a 50% deposit secures your booking. Families will then receive two forms to complete:

• A booking confirmation form with details about the requested dates, children, and location of care.

• A payment confirmation form outlining the selected payment method and booking policies.

Preparing For Your Childcare Session

To help create a comfortable and familiar experience, parents may wish to share a few helpful details before the session begins.

• your child’s usual bedtime routine
• favorite toys or books
• allergies or dietary considerations
• emergency contact details
• any comfort items your child may prefer

Please let your caregiver know in advance of any house codes, boundaries/restrictions, and/or any house rules you would like them to follow. Please ensure necessary access information for the caregiver is provided ahead of time (QR codes to home access, lockbox codes for door access etc.)

During Care

Each childcare session is thoughtfully adapted to your child's personality, age, interests, and routine, creating an engaging and nurturing experience.

Communication with parents

Parents are welcome to receive occasional updates and photos throughout the session if desired, providing peace of mind while they enjoy their time away.

Booking Policies

Deposit & Payment

A 50% deposit is required to confirm and reserve your booking. The remaining balance is due at the end of your childcare session unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.

Arrival Time

Your caregiver will typically arrive approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled booking time to allow for a smooth handoff and to review any last-minute information. This arrival time is complimentary and is not included in your booked service hours.

Cancellation Policy

A 50% deposit is required to confirm all bookings and reserve your requested date and time.

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled booking may be rescheduled once using the original deposit, subject to availability.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled booking will result in the deposit being forfeited.

“Client No-Show”

If the caregiver arrives at the agreed booking location and the client is unavailable, cannot be reached, or the service cannot begin as scheduled, the booking will be considered a client no-show.

As this time has been reserved exclusively for your family, the full booking fee remains payable.

Late Return

A 15-minute grace period is provided. If your return extends beyond the grace period, additional care will be billed in 30-minute increments at the applicable hourly rate.

Changes to Your Booking

If you need to adjust your booking time , please let us know as early as possible. We will always do our best to accommodate changes based on availability and notice.
